On our way back from Denver to Delta again (two months ago! Yikes, I'm a slow blogger) we went over McClure pass. If you haven't driven that road before, you must do it. But be warned, it can be dangerous driving because the view is so spectacular it is hard to keep your eyes on the road. We pulled off to the side for some photo ops. AJ got very excited about the trucks that were driving past.
AJ and I spent one day with my mom and dad at their mountain property on the Grand Mesa. They have a little camp trailer set up there to rest in between four-wheeler rides. It was a beautiful day in a beautiful place. I miss aspen trees so much!
AJ not only got to wear a cowboy hat, he got up close and personal with some real cows that wandered through the meadow. He like moo-ing at them, and he always knows a cow when he sees one now, and always moo's.
Isn't he the cutest cowboy ever? "Howdy, partner. Let's go rustle up some cattle."
My dad is the biggest softy when it comes to babies, especially his grand children. He had a ball showing AJ around and giving him rides (slowly and safely) on the four-wheeler.
Look how much fun he's having. "He" being my dad. (AJ was having fun too, though.)
AJ got to get right up next to the cows.
After all the four-wheeling fun (and a nap) AJ went out to explore the wilderness.
I can't finish up writing about our Colorado trip without mentioning how much AJ loved his Uncle Steve. They became great buddies. Next time we are there and AJ is walking, I'm pretty sure he'll just follow Steve around everywhere like a puppy. And I'm pretty sure Steve will love it.
