A couple of weeks ago we went to the Botanical Gardens in DC. It's nice to have an older baby who can stay awake longer and is more interested in the world. I miss getting out and about as much as we used to. My favorite part was the orchid room. It was amazing to be surrounded by so many of these beautiful flowers!
AJ's favorite was definitely the children's garden, mostly because we pulled him out of the stroller and let him play in the dirt. Jordan took AJ while I went to stash the stroller, and when I went looking for them I came across this cute scene:
They were having a great time. AJ loved getting dirty.
We made him pose for some other cute photos, but he didn't mind at all, because standing is his new all-time favorite activity.
After getting his feet nice and dirty, he freshened them up in the fountain.
Then it was back in the stroller for the walk back to the car.
It's a good thing AJ isn't older, or he probably would have been really embarrassed when his mom and dad started goofing off with the camera on the way back to the car.
It was a great afternoon. AJ loves getting outside and having new experiences. Next blog - Florida!

Pool Boy
AJ's Aunt Jessica loves to spoil him! Jordan and I have decided we will never need to buy him any toys, because she keeps him well stocked and entertained. On Saturday, she brought over a baby pool. We set AJ up on the back deck in nice, hot weather and he splish-splashed away.
Needless to say, this was a very cute experience, and I had a great time snapping photos. I couldn't contain myself.
AJ says, "Thanks, Aunt Jess!"
Notice the adorable "man-boobs" and belly rolls.
The Spoiler and the Spoilee.
Jordan and Andre. I was coming down with a cold, so you will not be privileged to see me in any photos today. Who needs mom photos when baby photos are so cute, anyway?
AJ was fascinated by the water being poured out of the bucket. He couldn't seem to figure out why he couldn't grab it. We could have done this for hours.
Aawww. Handsome.
Soon, AJ decided the side of the pool was the coolest, and was having fun trying to climb out.
AJ says, "Thanks, Aunt Jess!"
