Bath Time at Grandma & Grandpa Brown's

At Grandma and Grandpa Brown's house, AJ found the perfect sized bathtub.  The kitchen sink worked great.  It became a family affair since he was right out in the open.  Even cuter than these photos was the perfect little circle that was indented on his bottom from the sink plug.

Grandma Janelle's House

On Valentine's Day AJ and I finally made it to Colorado after several days of canceled flights due to snow storms and ear infections.  AJ's Grandma Janelle was SO excited to see AJ, and he was excited to see her.  Our first evening there, AJ also got to meet his great-grandmother Marie and his uncles, aunts and cousins on that side of the family.

When we got there, we discovered our camera was out of juice, so we took this photo with our camcorder.  Sadly, it came out a little blurry.  This is a great four generations photo, except that I am filling in for Jordan's generation.

AJ got to spend a lot of time with his Grandma, and his parents were happy to leave him there and trot off on dates together.  I think I left him more during that few days than I had his whole life so far.  It is so much easier to leave your baby with someone, like a grandmother, who you know is just as eager to spend time with him and take care of him as you are.  We also discovered that AJ has been harboring a secret:  While he won't take a bottle from his mom or dad, apparently he knows quite well how it works, because he took a bottle from Grandma without  a second thought.  But still not from us.

Besides his Grandma, AJ's favorite thing at her house was her ultra-cool, supersonic piano, with all kinds of cool lights and music.  He could sit there for hours on Grandma's lap.

AJ also had his very first solid food at Grandma Janelle's house.  He is still not a fan of rice cereal.  I think next time he goes to Grandma Janelle's house, they will do nothing but play the piano and eat cookies and drink chocolate milk.  Grandma's house is such a great place!
